Assault on Alton Lane (Newtown, Sydney)

Here's the first of the pieces I've been working on while the ArtSHINE show was on. This is another one of those pieces where I've used a street art photo I took for my Tumblr, and used it as the background for the superhero image I did.

So, what we have here is a giant lizard creature trying to catch a speedster on Alton Street in Sydney's Newtown.

Some new superhero sketches

While I was getting ready for the ArtSHINE show, I started doing some sketches, which turned into images that I'm going to use for some more pieces like my Battle of Brick Lane one. Been enjoying The Flash, so I wanted to do a speedster, and I've drawn plenty of insects lately, so that explains where the other one comes from.

Sydney Comic Art and Drawing Exhibition

Anyone who lives in, or who is passing through Sydney, can come and see some of the pieces I've put up at the Sydney Comic Art & Drawing Exhibition, and some work by other talented Sydney artists.

The exhibition is at the ArtSHINE Gallery, in the CoSydney Coworking Space at 3 Blackfriars Street, Chippendale, in Sydney, running from 14th to 30th of April, from 10am to 5pm weekdays, and 11am to 4 pm weekends.

I'll be exhibiting these pieces (which has required me to come up with titles for them, something I should have done a while back:
