A Teaser for Art on Board

So, I dropped my Sarah Berhardt piece off at the ArtSHINE Gallery for their Art On Board show, and they put this up on their Instagram.

Ta!

This piece and pieces by 99 other Sydney artists will be on exhibtion and on sale at ArtSHINE from Wednesday 8th July 2015 to Friday 31st July 2015.

Art on Board in progress

These are the develpoment stages of my Art On Board piece for the upcoming ArtSHINE exhibition.

Hey, and by a weird coincidence, I researched purely by looking at images, and found this one, which I think it's clear to see, I have based the composition of my piece on.

Turns out this piece is Sarah Bernhardt by Paul Emile Berthon, who is the artist whose work I based L'ermitage on. Coincidentally, I feel I should offer  friendly reminder that L'ermitage is available on tote bags and postcards on Etsy right now, and some more things in the coming future.

A Steampunk experiment

I'm taking a break from The Lady to work on something for a show / competition. Thing is, I think I'm going to need to not work digitally on it, which has really been my thing, as far as shading and colouring. So, I had a go at doing a quick steampunk / Art Nouveau sketch with felt-tips. Apart from the skin tone, I'm pretty happy with it.
